Special Envoy 2: In Service to Her Country

Who takes a six-month-old baby boy, his nanny, a personal assistant, and a chauffeur-bodyguard on a secret mission?

Shortly after giving birth to her one and only child, public relations executive Priscilla J. “PJ” Austin-Bernhardt, a modern-day Black American woman of diverse ancestry living a double life, surprises her family with her plan to go to the South of France to try her hand at writing. However, soon after settling into her Marmande villa and establishing a writing streak, her CIA handler unexpectedly presents her with a new commission.

Priscilla enters the former Yugoslavia when war is raging and Eastern European nations struggle to transform into democracies. But the Eastern European nations are not the only ones transforming; so, too, is Priscilla.

Suspense builds as the CIA relocates Priscilla’s entourage to a safe house: her baby boy and his nanny are abducted, and her wayward chauffeur-bodyguard injects himself into her mission. But much more happens, threatening her mission, all while making readers feel like they are right there with her.
